Answers
Remember the simple rules:
  • subtract the smallest amount of x’s from both sides first
  • you will then get a one-sided equation (with no negative algebra if you have done it correctly) which you can read

    Solve the following

  1. 6x+5 = 2x+13
  2. x+13 = 4x+10
  3. 5x+10 = 6x-4
  4. 4x+20 = 29-5x
  5. 22-x = 6x+8
  6. 57-6x = 5x+13
  7. 17-5x = 9-x
  8. 14-x = 22-5x
  9. 10-6x = 8-4x
